IMPORTANT for 2010:
(1) SCORE CARD: After each game the head coach is required to sign-off on the score card with the home plate umpire. The score card that is signed and turned into the tournament director is the official score and can not be changed at a later date. To many coaches last year signed score cards incorrectly which caused great confusion in the seeding of the tournament.
(2) BRACKET PROTECTION: A team may be seeded higher or lower for their protection to insure teams will not have to play the same team from their pool after all teams are re-seeded. A team may be seeded third and not fourth or sixth and not fifth so the same teams do not have to play each other again in the tournament until the Championship Game.
I Format
a. Tournament games begin as early as 6:00 p.m. on Thursday or Friday for local teams.
b. Please e-mail any special requests for your earliest playing time.
c. The deadline for registration of a Tournament is one week before play.
d. Brackets will be posted on the website the Monday before the tournament begins.
f. There is NO gate fee.
g. All free parking and free admission for all players, coaches, family, and guests.
h. Exception: Gate fee for the Tournament of Champions (15U, 16U & 18U) which is a $125 team gate fee.
i. Tournament is a 3 game guarantee. If inclement weather occurs this is the refund policy.
j. Full Refund (100%) of entry fee if any tournament is cancelled prior to the 1st day of the event.
k. Refund 2/3 of entry fee if any tournament is cancelled and only one (1) game has been started.
l. Refund 1/3 of entry fee if any tournament is cancelled and only the second game has been started.
m. No refunds (0%) once a third game begins. No refunds for teams not showing up for games.
n. Tournament of Champions & Fourth of July Tournaments (15U, 16U & 18U) are a four game guarantee.If inclement weather occurs this is the refund policyfor thesegames only!
- Full Refund (100%) of entry fee if any tournament is cancelled prior to the 1st day of the event.
- Refund except for $50 of entry fee if any tournament is cancelled on the day of the event of which no games have begun.
- Refund 75% of entry fee if any tournament is cancelled and only one (1) game has been started.
- Refund 50% of entry fee if any tournament is cancelled and only two (2) games has been started.
- No refunds (0%) once a third game begins. No refunds for teams not showing up for games.
II Time & Innings Played
a. All games end after the completion of 7 innings or the time limit has been reached.
b. Tie games are considered Tie games for pool play.
c. Games may start with 8 players.
d. A team has 15 minutes after the beginning of their starting time to field a team or it is a forfeit.
e. The forfeit score is recorded as 11-0.
f. If it is declared to dark to play and teams have played 4 or more innings, it is a complete
game. If the game is rained out and does not complete 4 innings, it is declared a suspended game. When play resumes the following day for a suspended game, the starting point will be the top of the inning after the last full inning played. The starting score of the game is the score after the last full inning played.
g. Game Time Limits for 8U thru 15U is 1 hour and 30 minutes.
h. NO new inning may start after the time limit has elapsed.
i. Championship games have NO time limit. Run rule is still in effect.

III Pitching Limitations
Managers be careful not to over pitch players.
a. 13U--18U is 7 innings per day or 10 per tourney
b. 12U is 6 innings per day or 8 per tourney
c. 10U--11U is 5 innings per day or 7 per tourney
d. 8U-- 9U is 3 innings per day or 6 per tourney
IV Awards
a. There will be trophies for first through fourth place.
b. Medals for first through fourth place for players and coaches. There will be medals for 12 players, three coaches, and one sponsor; total of 16 medals per team.
V Mandatory Slide Rule
a. All players must slide directly into the base if a play is being made.
b. Taking fielders out of the play with a slide is strictly prohibited and will lead to
Expulsion from the game.
VI Jewelry
a. Except for Medical Alert Bracelets all jewelry is prohibited.
b. One warning will be given per team; followed by (possible) player ejection for ensuing infractions by players of the team for the remainder of the game.
VII Pool Winner
Based on the following:
a. Wins
b. Head-to-Head Competition
c. Total Runs Allowed
d. Total Runs Scored
e. Coin Flip
VIII Batting Line-ups
a. In age groups 8U-14U the teams may bat the line-up with free substitution.
b. Free substitution at the 14U and under levels does not mean substitutes for pinch running or courtesy runners.
c. In the 15U -18U age group an extra hitter (EH) may be used, along with courtesy runners for the catcher and the pitcher.
IX Infield Practice
a. No organized infield practice is allowed on the fields with a grass infield.
b. On the dirt skin infields, teams may share the infield and hit ground balls.
c. Outfield play is also allowed before the start of the game.
X Run Rule
Age groups 8U through 11U:
a. A maximum of 6 runs in an inning is allowed, teams must then switch from offense to defense.
b. A 15 run rule after 3 innings
c. A 10 run rule after 5 innings.
Age groups 12U through 18U:
a. A 15 run rule after 3 innings.
b. A 10 run rule after 5 innings.
XI Determining Home Team
a. Home team will be determined by a coin flip at home plate.
b. The home team will be the official scoring book for the game.
c. After the first pitch of the game is made the home plate umpire will ask the home score keeper to write down the starting time for the game in the scorer’s book. Time limits will be marked from that time.
d. Dugouts are not assigned; the first team to arrive has their choice.
e. In the Championship Rounds the higher seed is the home team.
XII Cleats
a. Metal cleats are allowed in the 14U -18U age groups.
XIII Base Paths and Pitching Mound Distances
a. 14U-18U age group is 90’bases and 60’6” for the mound
b. 13U age group is 80’ bases and 54” for the mound
c. 12U age group is 70’ bases and 50’ for the mound
d. 11U age group is 70’ bases and 50’ for the mound
e. 10U age group is 65’ bases and 45’ for the mound
f. 9U age groups are 65’ bases and 45’ for the mound
g. 8U age groups are 60’ bases and 40’ for the mound
** Base paths and pitching mound distances may change if park facility fields use different settings.
XIV Game Misconduct
a. No coach, player, or team shall, at any time, whether from the bench, coaching box, or playing field, attempt to incite by word or sign, any unsportsmanlike conduct.
b. Penalty: Offending team member is subject to immediate ejection from the game. If any offending party upon being ejected during the game refuses to leave the park in a timely manner, determined by the tournament director, the game shall be deemed a forfeit.
XV Protests
a. Protestswill be ruled on immediately by the tournament director or his designee.
b. Upon a protest, a manager shall remit cash of $100.00 as a protest fee. If the protest is upheld, the $100.00 shall be immediately refunded.
c. If the protest is denied, the deposit shall be forfeited.
XVI 8U & 9U Rules
8U teams:
a. 1.There is no stealing at this level.
b. No stealing home on pass balls.
c. No running on 3rd dropped strike.
d. The infield fly rule is not in effect.
e. Pitchers are warned about balking, no balks are called.
9U teams:
a. Players may steal second and third, but not home on pass balls.
b. Players may advance on dropped third strike.
c. The infield fly rule is not in effect.
d. Pitchers are warned about balking one time, and then a balk is called.
XVII Tournament Director
a. The Tournament Director reserves the right to alter format of any tournament event in order to finish the tournament event in a timely manner.
b. This includes shortening minimum game guarantees, modifying game schedules, time limits and innings per game if necessary.
c. Additionally, every effort will be made to finish the tournament but in case of rain, darkness or other acts of nature the Tournament director reserves the right to shorten game or modify schedules in order to finish the event.
